  • cover designs;

Copyright protection applies whether or not a copyright symbol appears on a particular page or file.

5.2 Orchid Bloom Lab™ Name and Branding

“Orchid Bloom Lab™”, its logos, product-series names, cover designs, branding elements and associated goodwill are proprietary to Alfred & Jen LLP, except where otherwise stated.

Use of the ™ symbol indicates that trademark rights are claimed. It does not necessarily mean that the mark is registered in every jurisdiction.

No right to use our name, logo or branding is granted except with prior written permission.

5.3 Personal-Use Licence

When you lawfully purchase or download an Orchid Bloom Lab™ digital product, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use it for personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

You may:

  • store the file on your personal devices;
  • print a reasonable number of copies for your own use;
  • complete worksheets for your own orchid collection; and
  • retain a reasonable personal backup.

You do not acquire ownership of the copyright or source materials.

5.4 Uses Requiring Permission

Without prior written permission, you may not:

  • copy or reproduce substantial portions of our materials;
  • distribute files to another person;
  • upload files to a website, group, cloud folder or file-sharing platform;
  • email copies to friends, club members, students or customers;
  • resell or sublicense our products;
  • include our materials in a paid course, book or membership;
  • translate or adapt our materials for distribution;
  • remove copyright or ownership notices;
  • use our images or diagrams in advertising;
  • create competing products based substantially on our content;
  • use our content as data for a commercial artificial-intelligence system;
  • use automated tools to scrape or compile our website; or
  • claim our content as your own.

Purchasing one copy does not create a group, classroom, club, library, organisational or commercial licence.

5.5 Limited Quotation

You may quote a brief portion of publicly available website text for legitimate commentary, review, scholarship or reference where permitted by law, provided that you:

  • use no more than reasonably necessary;
  • do not reproduce a substantial part of the work;
  • clearly identify Orchid Bloom Lab™ as the source;
  • identify the relevant title where practical;
  • do not imply our endorsement; and
  • include a reference to the original website page.

This permission does not extend to reproducing paid products, complete tables, substantial diagrams, downloadable files or image collections.

5.6 Sharing Links

You may share an ordinary link directing others to a publicly available page on our website, provided that the link:

  • is not misleading;
  • does not suggest sponsorship or endorsement;
  • does not display our content inside another website in a confusing manner; and
  • does not bypass payment or access controls.

Share the webpage link rather than copying and distributing the underlying content.

5.7 Third-Party Materials

Some content may include properly licensed, commissioned, public-domain or third-party material.

Third-party rights remain with their respective owners. Such material may be subject to separate licence terms and may not be reused merely because it appears in an Orchid Bloom Lab™ publication.

Reasonable efforts are made to identify third-party sources and permissions where required.

5.8 Educational and Legal Exceptions

Nothing in this notice is intended to prevent a use that is expressly permitted by applicable copyright law.

However, describing a use as “educational”, “non-profit”, “research” or “fair use” does not automatically make wholesale copying or distribution lawful. Users are responsible for determining whether a legal exception genuinely applies.

5.9 Copyright Infringement Reports

5.10 Reports Concerning Third-Party Rights

If you believe material on our website infringes rights that you own, send a written notice containing:

  • identification of the protected work;
  • identification and location of the disputed material;
  • your contact details;
  • evidence of ownership or authority to act;
  • a good-faith statement explaining the complaint; and
  • confirmation that the information is accurate.

We may request additional information, temporarily remove disputed material, contact the contributor or take other reasonable steps while reviewing the complaint.

5.11 Reservation of Rights

All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Alfred & Jen LLP.

Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, sale, adaptation or commercial use may result in withdrawal of access and appropriate legal action.
